1. Why the status phase of the tournament automatically changes?
Answer:
The status phase will automatically change according to what the start and end times are set to. If for example the current time is equal or passed the end time, the status will automatically set to "Closed", or if current time is in between start and end time, the status will automatically be set to "Started", to keep it on sign-up phase both start and end time must be passed the current time.
2. 1. What is "JGrowl Notification" ?
Answer:
JGrowl notification instantly notifies you of important information including:-
1) Notify cupadmins of unresolved tickets
2) Awaiting match action by participant
3) Awaiting challenge action by participant
4) Notify users of unresolved tickets
5) Notify users who are registered in cups in started-status
6) Notify users of cups in sign-up status who are not registered
Each page load will show a popup by JQuery (top-right corner by default)
if any of the 1 to 6 is true.
3. 2. What is group stages?
Answer:
Group stages can be considered as a "pre-league" for a tournament or ladder league, if you have for example 32 man tournament, by activating group stages, 64 participants will be able to register and 32 out of 64 participants will qualify in the tournament or ladder. Group stages can allow participants to select their own group or you can enforce randomized group registration. Participants can qualify by going against a single participant or you can enforce "All vs. All" which will enforce participants to go against every other participant in their group.
4. 3. How to enable group stages for the tournament or ladder?
Answer:
Group stages have its own individual start and end times which can be set when you are adding or editing a tournament or ladder in admincenter. If the current time is in between "group start time" and "group end time", it will enable groups. After groups has finished, it will set all times accordingly. You alter these settings at config.php
5. 4. Who are the group stage qualifiers?
Answer:
After all matches are finished, all participants will receive a LEN "League Eligibility Notification" to confirm their qualifying status. On the groups page, it will also show their status which can be "Qualified", "Unqualified" or FCFS "First-Come-First-Serve". Qualified are those that earned enough points or won enough matches to pass, unqualified are those that do not and FCFS are those participants that have "JUST" earned enough points or won enough matches, but their points or won matches are equal which means the first to join of the FCFS participants will secure their position in the tournament or ladder. FCFS participants can only join after all qualifiers have joined.
