Wir starten bei GHOSTS Clankriege in der Diamanten Division.
An update for the PS3 Version of Modern Warfare 3 has been released, version 1.04. It is 21 MB file, the same as the last patch. No official word has been said on what the update is to include but stay tuned for more information!
Being a small update, it is likely to bring some needed fixes to the game, hopefully further improvements on the network side of things which Call of Duty has been desperatley struggeling with. Other fixes are likely to be glitches in the maps that can give some users unfair advantages, such as the Outpost underground glitch which has been addressed in the patch.
As well as network issues, some users have reported that they have noticed fixes in the matchmaking side of things, makeing things smoother and actually work! Problems with lost connections to the host should now be smaller too. Improvements to the spawning system, which was causing enemy players to spawn too close to you have also been noticed.
Ironically and rather frustratingly, some users have reported that the patch has made the game much worse for them when playing online and has created more issues than it has solved. Have you experienced any of these issues after installing the patch? It could be Call of Duty’s servers are pretty busy as they are pushing this patch out to everyone but majority of people should notice improvements. For those of you experiencing network issues, check out our post here on some fixes you can try.
For those of you having problems with your network connection with Modern Warfare 3 or can’t connect to their servers, there are some steps here that you could try:
1. Check to see if the Call of Duty servers are down here: http://www.callofduty.com/mw3/status If they are down then it is a problem on their end of things, not yours and everyone will be in the same position. All you can do is wait till they are back online. Chances are they will be down for maintenance.
2. Restart your router and console to refresh everything and start a brand new connection.
3. Make sure your Routers Firmware is updated, read the instruction manual for your router for a guide of how to do this. A simple firmware update can make a huge difference.
4. Security of Firewall software on your router could cause network problems, disable this to see if it helps your connection. If you are using a PC make sure you have adequate software firewall protection installed.
5. If you are still having problems you can try port forwarding which is a little more advanced. This interacts directly with your router to allow connections on the specific ports Modern Warfare 3 uses. You can learn how to forward ports here. If you try all the 4 steps above you should be getting a perfect connection, if not then the likely cause of the problem is either on Activision’s servers end or a problem on your ISP’s end. You can contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or Activision directly to get extra help in fixing your network problems.

A quote from Activision: “Since Tuesday’s launch, Modern Warfare 3?s multiplayer has been working great. In fact, the amount of players online is even higher than what it was this time last year for Black Ops. Have fun — we hope you continue to enjoy MW3 to the fullest.
However, on Call of Duty Elite, we are having trouble scaling the service to meet demand. We’re aware that many of you are currently experiencing problems with the Call of Duty Elite service. You’re frustrated, we know it, and we know we need to fix it. Our teams have been working non-stop to identify issues and resolve them as quickly as possible. Again, these issues have no impact on the performance of the game. If you have questions about the state of the Call of Duty Elite service, please go to http://www.callofduty.com/elitestatus.
Please note that we are experiencing heavier than normal volume. As a result, there may be a delay in receiving a response. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
So if the problems are on their end of things then theres nothing we can do unfortunatelyexcept wait for them to fix the problem and upgrade their servers to deal with the enormous volume of players.
